Stephanie Tudor is surface designer who uses unlikely materials to create textured interior products. She uses simple casting methods to trap materials within jesmonite to create very bespoke items.
I am in love with the work created by Stephanie Tudor and am very intrigued to find out more about some of the materials she has used, in particular jesmonite.
Her colour palette is very clean and she uses colours like blacks and greys that you would typically find in the natural world. She combines these with unexpected brightly coloured materials encouraging you to want to touch the surfaces to investigate.
Stephanie Tudor is a very contemporary surface design and there are a lot of influences I can take from her. Being asked to produce photographs of our samples to create a look book is something unfamiliar to me. I have found myself looking a lot at how Stephanie Tudors has laid out her website and also what kind of photographs she has used.
I am very aware of the angles she has taken the images from and how she has laid out her designs. I think I can take a lot from the layout of her website and hopefully use this to produce some equally good photographs of my own.
