Georgina Strang is a textiles designer based in London. After graduating from the Royal College of Art her fascination colour and tone strengthened. She has experimented with print, weave and dye proesses to explore how colours are formed.
These are some of the series of stills taken from a film by Georgia Strang to document the movement and behaviour of colour. These samples show the blurring of the colours into one another when printed onto silk.
Georgina was selected for the Design Collective scheme by John Lewis and in 2014 she created an exclusive bedding collection inspired by the skyline at different times of the day. Her works includes both bold and subtle tones of colour which is particularly interesting. I have found her website very informing. It includes dying processes and the effects the colours have on different fabrics. As i am wanting to test out different materials this is something i will have to think about.
